Happy Halloween! Time for yesterday’s news today. Let’s talk about guns. There were a couple stories I read about guns, each scary and amusing in their own way. Did you hear about the junior high student who traded his game boy for a gun? I mean what was this kid thinking? A game boy? Hey kid, if you are going to trade illegal arms in sixth grade, at least know the proper street value. I blame the parents.

And what about the madness in washington? Some aide brings in a toy gun, puts it through the x-ray machine. Security sees the gun and thinks it is real. This is where you would think the security guard stops the person, opens the bag, examines the gun and lets the aide on her merry way.

I’m not sure if that was the result, but I certainly hope the aide doesn’t make it through security and into the building prompting a lockdown, office searches, and arrival of a SWAT team. That would never happen, right?

While building a new image of OS X for our users, I had lost the icon for the program that accesses our database.

In honor of the new OS, Halloween, and the flakiness of the client, I decided to make a new icon.
Good call to Jen on the lightning idea.

I don’t really have much time to work on site content today, but I want to talk about Kobe Bryant. Did you hear what this jackass said about Shaq? From the October 29th AP article on the issue:

“Bryant castigated O’Neal during a telephone interview with ESPN, calling him “childlike,” “unprofessional,” “selfish,” “fat” and “jealous.” He also accused the 7-footer of overstating the severity of his foot injury last season when he reported to training camp overweight.

His toe hurts and he ate to many donuts? Shouldn’t you be worrying wether or not YOU WILL BE GOING TO JAIL? This seems like it should be much more of an important issue for Kobe. I’m not sure how Shaq responded to this, but I hope he said something like this. “I’m sorry you have problems with me. Please feel free to grab a local 19 year old girl and take out your agression.”

The links page has been all fixed up. Go check it out. Hopefully soon I will have the photoshopped pics done with click to enlarge links. Eventually I will get some real content up there. I am planning to have 4 sections. First the photoshopped section for pics I do for fun and for FARK.com photoshop contests is already kind of there. Then I will add another section for funny pictures that I find while surfing or receive in emails. Thirdly, a small section for buddy icons. And lastly, a section of real life pics of friends and family.

Because of my love for media, I decided that for each post here on the home page, I will include a random image. Anyway, it is easier to get you to read this crap if I put up a picture.
