Firefox is a great browser. It is fast, has lots of plugins, and a great interface. It has everything a browser should have. If you don’t use it yet, get it here and try it out.
Anyway, I came across this video on gorillamask.net. I think it sums up the situation pretty well. Click below to view the video.

This is a really simple flash game/animation, but it’s really funny. It’s about this girl, let’s call her Suzy. Well, for some unknown reason Suzy is falling from the sky, or toward some gravity source anyway. Thankfully, someone has scattered thousands of balloons to soften her fall. Some times she gets in a tight spot and can’t squeeze through; that’s where you come in. By clicking and holding on Suzy you can use your mouse to move her around and continue falling. I would recommend grabbing Suzy and swirling here around in a circle, then letting go. The program seems to really have a good grasp on gravity as Suzy will fly off in a parabolic projectile fashion until she slams into a bubble, then she’ll bounce around like a pinball and start falling again. It’s HiLarry.us.
Here is a link to the original website where I found it.
Blatti.net has been around for a while, but is it time for a new name? I have been kicking the idea around of bringing this site over to somewhere else, but there’s a problem. What name will be good enough for this superb content? Anyone have any good ideas/themes, or should I just keep it blatti.net?
My primary interest is to get a name where the web extention (.com, .org, etc) becomes part of the name, in the spirit of del.ico.us. Maybe something like “thissiteblo.ws”, “iamnolonger.be”, or “wheremycrack.at”. I could always go with the standard .com or .net too.
Leave your good ideas in the comments. Here is a netsol utility that will tell you if something is available. Who knows – you may be responsible for all this garbage you see before you!
It is that time of year again. Say goodbye to the old, and hello to the new. I cut out a few links, because well, either they don’t exist or I just plain don’t care for them anymore. I would list them, but hey, who cares? Anyhow, here are the new links….
– RTN is a great place to get tech news.
– Weber’s wordpress project.
– Fat Hands has a blog.
– A plethora of daily web humor.
– He’s Jim Norton, and he’s on the radio!
– Funny (and NSFW) Pictures, Videos and Links.
– Yet another collection of humorous daily links.
If I have missed a link to your clearly inferior web-presence, leave it in the comments.
- good hardware
- easy to use
- expensive
- lack of applications
Microsoft has their list too:
- inexpensive
- endless software selection
- crash-prone
- crappy user interface
Why is this good news for me? Because of these lists, I have 2 computers; A Microsoft box (which I am using to write this right now), and an Apple box (which is providing that webcam picture at the top of the screen). Now with Boot Camp, I can get the best of both worlds. I can buy new Mac, and still have access to all the Windows based apps I need.
Why is this good for Apple? In most situations, the good of Microsoft outweighs the good of Apple. You would love to have both brands, but that is expensive. Most people are willing to live with the BSODs and the un-evolved interface because they can spend the least money, and run any program they want. With Boot Camp, many people may lean the other way. Now it is worth it to spend the extra bucks to be able to boot to either OS depending on the situation, not to mention have that slick Apple styled hardware.
Good work Apple. This is the development I needed to convince me to buy a Mac for my home. FYI, the full version of Boot Camp doesn’t come out until the release of Leopard (10.5) and Apple will not provide Windows XP. You will have to purchase and install XP separately. If you still need convincing on buying a Mac, check out these videos on Dashboard and Expose. You’ll wonder how you lived without them.
Have you noticed recently that bagels and pitas have made their way into other food avenues? Probably not, but it has been happening right under your nose. One day, long ago, bagels were bagels, pitas are pitas, and chips were chips. Well those days are gone my friend. I present to you bagel and pita “chips”. Now these aren’t exactly new, but I know you have been waiting on the edge of your seat for me to adress this situation.

These products are made by a couple of manufacturers, but I have only sampled the “New York Style” brand. They come in various flavors, and I grabbed a few bags that I thought would fit my tastes. On my first trip to Woodman’s, I picked up a package of “everything” bagel chips. These were excellent. All the everything of an everything bagel with the crunch of a chip. Well done. This spawned me to stray over to the “sea salt” bagel chips on visit #2. Equally good. Salty, bagely, good. After these two grand experiences, and a little input from Kelly, it was on to pita chips. The obvious choice was “Spicy Mediterranean”.

This is where the story gets ugly. Not only was the texture not nearly as good as the bagel chips, they tasted like the armpit of a swami after a jog in the desert sun. Not even the sweet, sweet nectar of a Coca Cola product could remove the taste from my mouth. I implore you to stay away from these hideous things. The next time you are in the “Chips made out of things other than corn or potatoes” aisle, go with the bagel chips.
